# Bear Lake State Parks: Where to Go on Both Sides of the Lake

Planning a trip to Bear Lake? The lake sits right on the Utah-Idaho border, and both states have great parks and beaches for visitors.

On the **Idaho side** (east shore), you’ll find three main areas: **North Beach**, **East Shore**, and the **Primitive Area**. These spots are perfect if you’re looking for beautiful shoreline, boat access, and a mix of developed and more rustic camping.

On the **Utah side** (west shore), the most popular spot is **Bear Lake State Park** with its **Visitor Center and Marina** in Garden City. This is the main hub for boat rentals, parking, and lake access. At the south end of the lake near Laketown, you’ll find **Rendezvous Beach State Park**, a favorite for camping, swimming, and family gatherings.

You’ll also see several smaller beach areas scattered around the lake like **North Eden**, **Rainbow Cove**, **Cisco Beach**, **South Eden**, and **First Point** — each offering different vibes for swimming, picnicking, or launching a boat.

Whether you’re coming for the day or staying for the weekend, these state parks and recreation sites give you easy access to Bear Lake’s famous turquoise water. Just remember — the lake is split between two states, so check which side you’re on when planning your visit!
